Data and Performance

Nottingham HOPE Academy is an accredited JCQ exam centre able to offer a full suite of Key Stage 2 SATs, Key Stage 4 GCSEs, Functional Skills (Entry 1-2, Level 1-2), Entry Level Certificate in Science, ESOL, Unit Awards and SWEET Awards.  It is an approved centre for AQA and Pearson/Edexcel entries, as well as hosting transferred candidates.

Last year:

• Almost 600 Key Stage 4 exams were sat across all 4 sites
• Over 200 GCSE exams were sat by Nottingham HOPE and transferred candidates.
• 68 different GCSE subject papers from 4 exam boards

At our hospital sites Years 6, 11, 12 and 13 students are supported in preparing for their exams.  Many sit part or all of their summer exams and resits with us as transferred candidates.

Secondary Pathways & NEST:  With the exception of one GCSE transferred student, all students achieved or exceeded target grades from mock exam performances.  Many students overcame gaps in their education by completing the courses and attending the exams.  Functional Skills English and maths were used to fill qualification gaps and promote achievement.

Last Year:

• 19 GCSE maths qualifications were achieved, ranging from grade 1 to 5
• 15 GCSE English Language qualifications were achieved, ranging from grade 1 to 8
• 9 GCSE English Literature qualifications were achieved, ranging from grade 1 to 7
• 6 GCSE Double Award Trilogy Science qualifications were achieved, ranging from grades 22 to 55
• 2 GCSE Biology qualifications were achieved, ranging from grade 1 to 5
• 19 GCSE MFL qualifications were achieved, ranging from grade 5 to 9
